Lessons Online -- Slack Key Guitar With Keola Beamer
You've heard the music - did you ever think about creating it yourself? The Hawaiian
Slack Key Guitar is a wonderful platform for expression. And guess what? It's not that
hard to learn to play! It's a rewarding and relaxing hobby that could give you years of
meaningful interaction with a whole world of rich, beautiful, and somehow still mysterious
music. It can take you places that you never imagined.

Sandy MacMaster of Aloha Plenty writes:
Keola provides detailed analysis of hand positions and
strokes. Good finger exercises are also provided. And
there's real audio files of the exercises as well. These are
important for getting your hands to dance comfortably
together which is part of how 'slack key' happens.
Bottom Line: Worth the price of admission and we look
forward to seeing what's next in the Keola Beamer
instruction goody bag!

Teaching the Slack Key Guitar
has been one of the greatest joys in my life and I've helped hundreds of students. I know
you can learn to play because I am the person who can show you how!
It's the dawn of a new Millinneum and thanks to some wonderful innovations on the 'net,
we can share the resources and knowledge of our culture like never before. I've given
considerable thought to using the net as a teaching tool which has resulted in the
some wonderful innovations. My web-lessons are new teaching methods, enabling you to work faster &
smarter. These techniques really work! This wonderful style of music will come alive from
beneath your own hands, as you create it from the story of your own life.
Here
are some simple tools that you will need to study with me;

- A Guitar (Nothing fancy - any guitar will do. electric, acoustic, nylon, steel string - it doesn't matter!)

- Adobe Acrobat Reader to download and view my tablature and music files. Click on the graphic to the right to download.

- Real Player to hear me demonstrate the pieces you'll be studying. Click on the graphic to the right to download.
- (Optional) QuickTime. This technology is included in all Apple Macintosh computers, and can be downloaded and installed on Windows machines. Some video files included in the lesson plan can be viewed in either RealVideo or Quicktime, with the Quicktime files being considerably larger and clearer.

- A "Pono" attitude or conciousness. You must learn to play with aloha in your heart. Slack key is filled with the beauty and mysticism of the Hawaiian culture. To get the most
out of your lessons, come with respect for its traditions and an openess in your heart.
